MADISON, Wis. – CUNA said there will be a record 120 exhibiting companies at its 2002 Symposium, set for Orlando, September 24-27, 2002. This is surprisingly more exhibitors than it gets even at its Governmental Affairs Conference held in Washington each year, and which is typically its largest meeting. “We only have a very few spots left in our exhibit hall, and we are extending opportunities for sponsorships to meet the demand,” said Vicki Schmitz, exhibits manager, for CUNA. One new event in this year’s exhibit hall is a golf swing analysis clinic, supported by CUNA’s Center for Professional Development, and provided by professionals from the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy. Beyond the exhibit hall, principal sponsors CUNA Mutual Group and U.S. Central Credit Union, along with general sponsors EDS and Freddie Mac, are helping bring attendees the keynote address by former New York Mayor and Time Magazine’s Person of the Year in 2001, Rudy Giuliani. Credit Union Times Publisher Mike Welch will also be facilitating an issues forum that will allow attendees to dictate what topics are discussed. For more information on sponsorships or exhibiting at the Symposium, contact Vicki Schmitz at (800) 356-9655, extension 4323.
