<p>MADISON, Wis. – Credit union trainers will have their chance to walk the red carpet during the Keystone Awards program developed by CUNA’s Center for Professional Development. “Credit unions are doing some amazing things in staff development and education, and they deserve to be recognized and commended for the outstanding work they do,” said Mike Miller, senior vice president of CUNA’s CPD. “This program gives us a chance to showcase some of the credit union movement’s best and brightest and draw attention to the importance of staff development at the same time.” First place and awards of merit will be presented in five categories: Keystone Award for Trainer of the Year: The premier award. Recognizes achievements of a visionary credit union professional or department that has made exceptional contributions to the learning and performance development of staff. Talent Champion Award: Recognizes the CEO or member of senior management for their support and development of a credit union’s training initiatives. Chi Pi Delta C P D Award: Presented for the best development of a Credit Union University utilizing CUNA Center for Professional Development products as the foundation. E-learning Award: Presented to the credit union that has most effectively incorporated technology into staff training and development. The Standing Ovation Award: Given to a credit union professional with demonstrated talent for facilitating a training program. First place recipients will receive a keystone award, complimentary tuition for one person to attend Experience Learning Live! 2003 and recognition in CUNA publications/ Web site Awards will be presented at the Experience Learning Live! event, set for November 10 – 13, in San Diego, California. All entries must be in to CUNA by 5 p.m. on September 3.
