<p>COLUMBIA, S.C. – Carolina Collegiate Federal Credit Union has recently kicked off an introductory course, which covers basic financial information. “For many students, college is their first experience living on their own, and the day-to-day stresses can be difficult to handle along with the academic workload,” said CCFCU Vice President of Human Resources/Business Development Helen Powell. “This class can explaining numerous financial terms, accounts, and options for the students.” Covering such issues as credit history, car loans, credit cards bankruptcy, checking accounts, saving accounts and budgeting, Managing Your Money offers students information on how to take control of their financial life and become a smart consumer. The class is listed in the Transitions textbook, which is available throughout the Columbia area.</p>
