<p>Abbey Credit Union, Vandalia, Ohio, has broken ground on its new 9,190 square-foot two-story facility. Van Con, Inc. was the general contractor and will be designing a new addition. The new addition will include four new offices, storage space and a board meeting room. The project is expected to be completed October 2002. Woodstone Credit Union, Federal Way, Wash., has announced the start of a major construction project to their corporate office. The construction project will focus on the exterior faade of the credit union’s West Campus building, which houses a branch of the credit union and their administrative offices. Mentor Schools Credit Union, Ohio, has awarded its main office design/build contract to PWCampbell, a design/build firm. The facility will provide members of the credit union with enhanced retail services and is projected to be complete in the last quarter of 2002. First Community Credit Union, St. Louis, Mo., has recently opened a new Fenton branch. The facility features four drive-up lanes and a drive-up ATM. FCCU is also building a full-service branch in O’Fallon, Missouri. Tyndall Federal Credit Union, Panama, Fla., has celebrated the opening of its Lynn Haven and Parker branch. The Lynn Haven branch is a 9,000 square-foot facility that offers 10 drive-thru lanes including two ATM lanes and compact bank areas. Bank Building Corporation, a NEWGROUND resources company, has recently renovated the Parker branch. Mission Federal Credit Union, San Diego, Calif., has held it grand opening for the Mission Valley branch. Participating in the festivities were players from the San Diego Spirit soccer team and the San D. Panda mascot. The facility features an Internet caf and specific stations for new accounts, loan requests and an outside ATM. Power 1 Credit Union, Hialeah, has broken ground on its new Pembroke Pines corporate headquarters. The 60,000-square-foot building will house all executive and administrative offices as well as a high-tech lobby. The lobby includes member service representatives, a research area with access to online services, and a multi-media display that provides consumer information.</p>
