<p>Arizona Federal Credit Union, Phoenix, has participated in the ninth annual Make A Difference Serve-A-Thon. Arizona FCU’s 35 volunteers joined other concerned citizens who donated their time to over 100 community improvement projects that day. Pacific Service Credit Union, Walnut Creek, Calif., has donated $5,000 to Children’s Miracle Network. For the second consecutive year PSCU has sponsored Kids Day, which is a one-day event where volunteers sell special edition Fresno Bee newspapers. More than 3,000 area volunteers spent their day selling the newspapers for as little as $1. All proceeds were donated to Valley Children’s Hospital. This year, the one-day event raised over $154,000. U.S. New Mexico Federal Credit Union, Albuquerque, has donated over $22,000 to charitable organizations. U.S. New Mexico FCU employees raised money over the year from selling biscochitos to washing cars. Donations were made to Roadrunner Food Bank, Leukemia Lymphoma Society, America’s Fund for Afghan Children, Barrett House, All Faith’s Receiving Home, NM Ranches, Literacy Center, Breast Cancer Walk, Casa Angelica, Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Muscular Dystrophy Assoc., Sickle Cell Council of NM, American Red Cross and Make-A-Wish.</p>
