MENASHA, Wis. – During a special meeting Banta Community Credit Union members have voted to change the credit union’s name to Prospera Credit Union. According to President/CEO Ken Eiden, the name which is derived from the word “prosper” reflects the type of enduring relationship the credit union wants to develop with all the people in its field of membership. “The idea of changing our name is not new or something we’ve taken lightly,” said Eiden. “We treasure our Banta heritage and connections, and we will continue to build on our legacy. Now is just the right time for the name change as we prepare to open a new branch in a new market.” The $95 million credit union’s name change will be effective June 1.
