DETROIT – Technology is not just a man's game and the Michigan Council of Women in Technology is ready to spread the word. The Council provides Michigan professional women a built-in network of services and programs. The organization is geared toward women at all levels of career growth, and is marketed to those that are producing, using and selling technology. USA Federal Credit Union President/CEO Mary McDonald is one of the group's seven founders, which includes Sandy Moore, president, Great Lakes Technologies Group; Blanca Fauble, director, international internet services, Ford Financial; Jill Jordan, senior consultant, Gundersen Partners, LLC; Murem Sharpe, CEO, B2Bquarterback LLC; Rosemary Bayer, chief architect, GM Global Enterprises, Sun Microsystems ; and Tracey Kilbey, account manager, Airfoil Public Relations. The diverse group of women hope the Council will serve as a continuing resource for leadership, networking and professional development for the Michigan technology community. The organization's formal kickoff networking event will highlight plans for upcoming professional development programs.
