<p>Pacific Marine Credit Union, Camp Pendleton, Calif., formerly known as Marine Corps West Federal Credit Union, has celebrated its 50th Anniversary with a number of special events and member giveaways. The celebration kicked off with a "$50 for 50 weeks" drawing, a contest that gives members the chance to win $50 in new gold dollars each week for 50 weeks during 2002. In addition, two new Sony laptops will be given away and during the summer the promotions take on a leisure feel with a drawing for a Caribbean cruise for two. And the grand prize will be the chance to win a new car. Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union, Brooklyn, N.Y., was visited recently by New York State Governor George E. Pataki. Pataki made his return visit with the Polish-American community of Greenpoint, where most of the P&SFCU members reside.</p>
