<p>Oregon Metro Federal Credit Union, Eugene, has recently awarded outstanding staff members and volunteers who demonstrated their commitment to Oregon Metro throughout 2001. Serving as positive examples of how to successfully serve each member, the winners are nominated by peers. This year’s recipients are as follows: Heather Tucker, Rookie All-Star; Jama Ficek, Staff All-Star; Donna Davis, Leadership All-Star; John Downey, Volunteer All-Star; and the Oakridge Branch staff Donna Davis, Jacki Dean, Maxine Cano, Debi Steers, Jule McIntire, Susan Callahan and Nichole Lewellyn, Team All-Star. Kitsap Community Federal Credit Union, Bremerton, Wash., has named Jackie Harper as the “Employee of the Quarter”". Harper was singled out for her positive attitude and willingness to help members and co-workers alike. Harper has been with KCFCU for seven years and works as a Financial Service Representative in the Call Center. CastleGarde, an information security consulting firm, Senior Security Engineer Corey Pincock has been awarded a CISSP designation from the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium. The CISSP certification identifies professionals who have met a certain standard of knowledge and experience and who continue to keep their knowledge current and relevant to what is happening in the practice of Information Security. There are less than 3,800 CISSPs worldwide. Nevada Federal Credit Union, Las Vegas, has been named the overall “Workplace Excellence Award” winner for not-for-profit employers by the Southern Nevada Human Resource Association. Recognized for its competitive base wages as well as 15 incentive plans, Nevada FCU provides each employee with on-the-job training as well as a specially designed program for individual career development. In addition, a tuition reimbursement program allows employees to pursue outside professional training with minimal up-front costs. The credit union also sponsors online chat sessions with the CEO and communication and recognition programs for its employees to increase morale and recognize superior customer service efforts.</p>
