<p>TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Nearly 70% of members consider Alabama Credit Union their primary financial institution. A recent member survey conducted by independent research firm Strategic Metrics Inc., also found that members gave the $135 million credit union an overall satisfaction rating of 6.05 on a scale of 7.0. With an overall response rate of 20%, nearly 1,000 responses were gathered in the study, which included surveys conducted by direct mail, Internet, and telephone. According to the surveys, members were especially pleased with ACU's "prompt, efficient and friendly transaction processing", pricing of products, and overall convenience. "We're extremely gratified by the positive responses from our members," said ACU President Steve Swofford. "Our staff works very hard to provide exceptional service, and it's nice to know their efforts are being recognized." ACU serves nearly 20,000 members.</p>
