FITCHBURG, Mass. – Forget the expression "Never on Sundays." Workers' CU has decided to open one of its branches on Sunday for five hours. Starting Feb. 17, the CU's Twin City Branch in the city of Leominster is open Sundays 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Workers' CU President/ CEO Frederick Healey said the credit union decided to expand its hours to accommodate consumers' busy lifestyles. "More and more of our members are running their errands and doing their shopping on Sundays. Our new hours at the Twin City location will make it more convenient for them," he said. Workers' CU has almost $400 million in assets and more than 57,000 members. In addition to Leominster and its headquarters in Fitchburg, the credit union has six other branches.
