<p>Funeral services held for long-time CCUL employee KENT, Wash. – Funeral services were held here for John P. “Jack” Reidy, a 19-year veteran with the California Credit Union League who last served as vice president of government affairs. Reidy died in Tacoma of congestive heart failure. He was 85. Reidy joined the league in 1962 as a field services representative. Two years later, he was named to the league’s new legislative and governmental relations department and subsequently established a league office in Sacramento. Prior to joining the league, Reidy spent five years in the credit union industry and served as manager of a credit union he helped organize for baking company delivery salesmen. He later served as an assistant treasurer-manager and loan officer of McChord Federal Credit Union in Tacoma. He was also active in chapter work and as a director of the Washington Credit Union League. Reidy is survived by his wife, Billie, son Tom (Loan), two granddaughters and five sisters. Funeral services were held Jan. 28 at Tahoma National Cemetery. A memorial mass is slated for February.</p>
