<p>WALLINGFORD, Conn. – SmartSource Solutions wants to give credit union boards a chance to communicate and facilitate board activities online. The CUSO of the $1 billion Constitution State Corporate is offering e-boardroom for an annual license fee of $1,750. The product allows for the delivery of board packets electronically; an online means of facilitating board discussions; online voting; and the ability to archive documents electronically. It has a 50-megabyte storage capacity for extensive archiving, and a chat room-like feature. e-boardroom uses secure socket layers to encrypt communications. It is a designated VeriSign Secure Site. Other features include a calendar section where boards can post agendas and schedule meetings; a contacts page; a links page; and an e-mail notification capability to alert directors of a new content update. "We think that credit unions looking to save money on travel costs and administrative expenses related to board meetings will find e-boardroom the perfect way to go," said Greg Gallant, president of SmartSource Solutions. Constitution State Corporate formed SmartSource Solutions to provide back-office processing services to credit unions. It also offers a host of Web services.</p>
