CHARLOTTE, N.C – Charlotte Metro Credit Union is doing its part to reach out to the Hispanic community. CMCU has recently sponsored an event for the Latin American Festival at the Mint Museum in Charlotte, N.C. Over 15,000 people joined the daylong outdoor festival to listen to salsa music, and enjoy Latin American art, food and fellowship. In an effort to better serve the booming Hispanic population here, CMCU provides members a bi-lingual staff, Spanish marketing and application materials, a Spanish Web page and developed the "SAFE account", a non-interest bearing savings account.
