OMAHA, Neb. – The Nebraska Credit Union League, in a show of appreciation to state lawmakers in Washington, D.C. for their performance and leadership efforts since September 11th's tragedy, plans to hand-deliver specially-designed "Standing for America" cards and plaques to each of the state's lawmakers on Capitol Hill during CUNA's GAC. The `Standing for America' project was developed "to express our sincere appreciation for a job well done," said NCUL President/CEO Scott Sullivan. "The project is designed to show lawmakers that their hard work has not gone unnoticed or unappreciated by Nebraska Credit Unions." The cards were designed with a preprinted thank you message and customized with the name of each Nebraska lawmaker. A space was provided on each card to allow for a credit union member to indicate which credit union they belong to as well as space to write a personalized, hand-written thank you message.
