MADISON, Wis. – CUNA Network Services said it will license Touch Technology International, Inc.'s PocketServer application software for use with CNS's smart card product, e-gate. Rollout of CNS's smart car product is expected later in the first quarter of 2002. "Utilizing TTI's PocketServer technology will make the e-gate device even more attractive to credit unions by enhancing the variety, portability and security of convenience applications they can offer to their members," says John Hobko, president of CNS. While smart cards have floundered so far in the U.S., CNS believes tying them to security features will make them attractive to credit unions.
