<p>United Heritage Credit Union, Austin, Texas, Senior Director CM Sgt. John T. Keller, USAF, Ret., has recently graduated from CUES’ Directors Leadership Institute and earned the designation of Certified Credit Union Director. Serving since 1980, Keller is the second member of the UHCU board to graduate from the Institute. The first United Heritage director to receive his CCD designation was Secretary/Treasurer, Jerry North. US Airways Federal Credit Union, Moon Township, Pa., has awarded William Horton the grand prize of a 2001 PT Cruiser as part of its “Retro Giveaway.” To “go retro” members had to apply and be approved for a vehicle loan between September 1, 2001 and November 15, 2001. Then 20 eligible members were randomly selected to attend the giveaway. Though Horton had the winning key he opted for the $15,000 cash in lieu of the car. In addition, Bonnie Scrip was selected as the winner of a second place prize of $500 and a remote controlled PT Cruiser toy car. Royal Credit Union, Eau Claire, Wis., has presented Lifetime Volunteer Awards to the following members: Angela Dunlap, Elizabeth Marsolek, Joanne Miles, Sylvia Nesja and Marie Tingvold. These five have donated over 5,500 hours of their time to the local community. RCU now has a total of 30 Lifetime Volunteers. The Volunteer Program was developed by RCU to promote volunteerism and community spirit. The program is structured to reward those that volunteer at least four hours per month. Currently RCU has over 100 volunteers who share over 7,000 hours of their time each year.</p>
