WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Since voting unanimously to support the distribution of New York CU Foundation Disaster Relief Funds, the New York State Credit Union League board is planning a disbursement to victims during the next few months. Credit unions around the country have donated over $1 million to the fund. Here is one last look at the many ways credit unions have supported relief efforts:
After 77 days, Chartway Federal Credit Union's United We Stand Relief Program has raised a total of $25,449.98 to support the United Way's September 11th Fund.
Fiscal Federal Credit Union donated $12,524 to the NYCUF Disaster Relief Fund and shipped over $1,000 in toys to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign in Brooklyn.
