BEDMINSTER, N.J. – Area credit unions here led by Affinity Federal Credit Union and Financial Resources Federal Credit Union have raised over $100,000 to benefit the New York City Uniformed Firefighters Association Widows' and Children's Fund. In addition, New Jersey credit unions sponsored a "Credit Unions Walk for America" on the grounds of Raritan Valley Community College and raised over $8,000. Affinity Federal Credit Union CEO John Fenton; Financial Resources Federal Credit Union CEO Gene Reilly; HLR Federal Credit Union CEO Jim McKittrick; and Merck Employees Federal Credit Union CEO Ray DelNero recently traveled to Manhattan to present the check to Kevin E. Gallagher, president of the local chapter of the Uniformed Firefighters Association.
