SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The state Department of Financial Institutions approved the federal-to-state conversions for two more credit unions. The latest approved conversions were for American First FCU, La Habra ($426 million) and Marine Corps West FCU, Camp Pendleton ($257 million). The DFI also approved the mergers of: Carnation Southern California FCU, Los Angeles into California Agribusiness CU, Buena Park; FAMCO FCU, South Gate into Southland Civic CU, Downey; Newport Mesa FCU, Newport Beach into LBS Financial Credit Union, Long Beach; and Orange County Gardeners CU, Anaheim into Los Angeles Southwest Japanese CU, Los Angeles.
