WASHINGTON-Former NCUA Board Member Shirlee Bown has asked to be withdrawn from the nomination for Federal Housing Finance Board director, according to the American Banker. Repeated calls to Bown's Florida planning and housing firm, S. Bown & Co., were unanswered. Bown also serves on the board of directors at Florida Central Credit Union. Her nomination was to be considered Nov. 15 by the Senate, but has been removed from the short list.
