FORT WORTH, Texas – Heeding President Bush's September call for children to donate $1 to the Afghanistan Children's Relief Fund, the Fort Worth Independent School District students, staff, parents and Parent Teacher Associations collected $24,000 in change. OmniAmerican Credit Union then helped turn that change into a check. "We were thrilled to be able to provide a service for the Fort Worth ISD," said OmniAmerican CU White Settlement Branch Assistant Vice President Tracey Breton. "At OmniAmerican we believe membership means more but for a while there I was thinking we should say membership counts more." The $750 million credit union staff worked together to count all the change collected. OmniAmerican CU serves over 195,000 members.
