UTICA, Mich. – Little-known InetSolution, Inc., recently completed a Symitar middleware piece for its CU MemberProtect security solution. InetSolution is an IT development firm focused solely on the CU market. "Credit unions are our vertical. Primarily we partner with the more progressive credit unions that have a strong emphasis on security and member value in the overall integration of their systems," said Jason Sherril, president of InetSolution. The middleware Symitar enhancement allows CUs using Symitar's home banking solution to integrate Web-based apps with their core processing system. Sherril said with CUs using so many different third-party providers, it is leading to fragmented online systems. This can cause members to log on to different systems to perform different functions, and lead to a disconnect in data on the back-end. InetSolution recently helped Research FCU integrate its home banking, bill pay, and online lending solutions under one log-on and password. "You don't want a situation where a member comes in logs into the home banking, then has to go over and log on to bill pay and log on again to perform other transactions," said Sherril. A core part of the CU MemberProtect product is its member profiling capability. It has worked with CenCorp in helping the corporate to not only provide user authentication for CenCorp's online account access, but store user data to create user profiles. It is working on integrating the profiling capabilities with a permission marketing system. Founded in 1997, InetSolution employs 12 people. Co-founder Sherril doesn't have a CU background (coming from Compuware Corp.), but felt there was an integration weakness in the industry. "There's a lot of competition with Web design and Web products, but we didn't see the legacy system experience to create apps and pull four or five systems together," said Sherril.
