NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois Credit Union Foundation has created a scholarship in honor of long time credit union activist Gene Artemenko who died October 15. Recipients of the CU Foundation's assorted scholarships are the staff or volunteers of credit unions in the state. The money can be used to fund credit union-related education courses or seminars offered by CUNA, the league or self-study. This year the CU Foundation gave out $38,000 in scholarships.
