NEW YORK – XCEL Federal Credit Union is the latest credit union to join the New York State Shared Service Centers network. Less than two weeks after the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, XCEL members had access to 31 Shared Service Centers in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as all other credit union Shared Service locations nationwide. “It was a wonderful example of what a cooperative effort can accomplish. Many worked together to make it happen more quickly than anyone thought possible, including XCEL FCU; NYSSSC; CUSC; XP Systems, XCEL’s data processor; and eFunds, the switch provider,” said NYSSSC Business Development Director Marc Inger. “I’m just glad we were there to help them find alternatives to help restore service to their members.”
