Christian CCU raises $180,000 for American Baptist missions

COVINA, Calif. -Who says credit card programs can’t work? Through the “Cards that Give to Missions” credit card program Christian Community Credit Union has donated a record breaking $180,000 to American Baptist missions and ministries in 2001. The donation is based on the purchasing volume of members using their CCCU credit and check cards. This year’s donation will be distributed to the following American Baptist missions and ministries: International ministries; regional missions projects; new church planting; special projects of churches; college and seminary scholarships; and disaster relief. “We want our members to know that they belong to a credit union that’s making a positive difference in people’s lives,” said CCCU President/CEO John Walling.
