ALBANY, N.Y. – Bart Salazar, CFA, has been named Chief Operating Officer at MemberTrade Advisory Services, LLC, a wholly-owned CUSO of Empire Corporate FCU. Prior to this move, he was Vice President, Investments, at Empire Corporate. Salazar will manage and oversee the daily operations of MemberTrade Advisory Services. MemberTrade Advisory Services, LLC, was launched by Empire Corporate in January 2001. Located in Empire's headquarters facility in Albany, it is licensed to transact business in several Northeast states. It was launched to complement MemberTrade Financial Group, LLC, Empire's broker/dealer CUSO launched in mid-1999. MemberTrade Advisory Services offers its credit union clients analytics, advisory services, and client education. "MemberTrade Advisory Services was formed with the mission of promoting the financial health of the credit union industry by providing credit unions of all sizes with balance sheet management solutions specific to the industry-one that provides comprehensive information to meet the emerging regulatory issues facing credit unions," said Salazar. "We intimately understand credit unions' needs and the unique regulatory environment they are working within," he said. Salazar has over 15 years experience in dealing with both investment and asset/liability management issues, and has managed portfolios ranging in size up to over $4 billion.
