J. Alvin George receives double the honors

SAN DIEGO- North Island Financial Credit Union Service Quality Committee Chairman J. Alvin George has the distinction of being honored by both NAFCU and the Defense Credit Union Council for his commitment to the credit union movement. George is not only the NAFCU Volunteer of the Year but also has been inducted into the DCUC Hall of Fame. George has served on North Island Financial Credit Union’s Board of Directors for more than four years and has more than 55 years of board service with San Diego credit unions. “With half a century dedicated to volunteer service to credit unions, Al George is clearly worthy of this distinction,” said NIFCU CEO Mike Maslak. “He’s done so much for NIFCU and for the community, we’re honored to have him as a member of the North Island family.”
