NEW CASTLE, Del. – In honor of International Credit Union Day, the Delaware Credit Union League has published its first Credit Union Supplement in the statewide paper The News Journal. The 12-page, full-color supplement includes an explanation about the nature of credit unions and how to join, as well as informational articles on car buying, mortgages, identity theft, and other areas of consumer interest. "We received at least a dozen phone calls in response to the supplement the day after the supplement's publication," said DCUL Communications Director Alice A. Smith. Credit unions and business partners cooperatively advertised to pay for the supplement. The DCUL plans to make the supplement an annual event.
