SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The founders of credit union data processing C.U. Processing are leaving the parent firm that purchased C.U. Processing last year. David Palmer, long-time CEO of C.U. Processing prior to it being acquired by Canadian IT powerhouse CGI, is leaving, along with Paul Chauvin, who served as CFO of C.U. Processing. After CGI acquired C.U. Processing, Palmer became Senior Vice President and General Manager for CGI’s Credit Union Solutions and Services unit. Chauvin was named Senior Vice President and Controller for CGI’s Credit Union Solutions and Services. CGI acquired C.U. Processing last October. Palmer and Chauvin founded C.U. Processing in 1984. Both said they are leaving to pursue other interests. “My decision to pursue other interests was not taken lightly. The past 20 years have been a challenging and rewarding experience that I will hold sacred for the rest of my life. I wish the company, its customers and its employees the best of luck in the future,” said Palmer.
