MADISON, Wis. – CUNA Mutual said that due to an overwhelming response by credit union retirement plan administrators, it is planning additional Webcasts explaining the effects of the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001. EGTRRA legislation has a direct effect on employee benefit programs. Six free Webcasts were held in late September and early October. Due to the demand, Webcasts are now scheduled for Oct. 23 and Nov. 1. Among the topics covered in the 90-minute Webcasts are, 401(k) plans, 457 deferred compensation plans, defined benefit plans, individual retirement accounts/annuities and employee tax incentives. To register for the Oct. 23 and Nov. 1 Webcasts, go to www.cunamutual.com and look under the Products and Resources section.
