WASHINGTON-Since the attacks of September 11, the same day Credit Union House was supposed to have its official ribbon-cutting ceremony, CUNA has had difficulty finding a date to reschedule the "Credit Union House Investor and Dedication Event." CUNA is working to reschedule something, but does not have a date set yet. One possibility is to tie the grand opening in with CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference in February, according to CUNA Vice President of Communications and Media Outreach Pat Keefe. While Credit Union House has not yet had its official grand opening, some of the state league investors are already taking advantage of the location. The Virginia Credit Union League held its own private little ribbon cutting ceremony on October 4, while New York used the House for a meeting place October 10. The Kentucky League also met with Senator Jim Bunning (R-Kent.) last week there. However, many leagues have had to reschedule their own `mini grand openings.' On the schedule for the rest of the year are: *October 15 & 16 Oregon Credit Union League; *October 16 North Carolina Credit Union League; *October 17 District of Columbia Credit Union League; *October 25 & 26 South Dakota Credit Union League; *November 8 Delaware Credit Union League; and *November 14 & 15 Connecticut Credit Union League.
