LATHAM, N.Y. – To help build awareness, Community Resource Federal Credit Union will host a seminar for the public to learn more about the St. Catherine’s Center for Children’s Foster Care and Respite Care programs. St. Catherine’s Center for Children is a non-profit social services agency that focuses on issues of child abuse/neglect, family reunification, mental health and homelessness. The foster care program offers foster families extensive and ongoing training, clinical services and 24-hour support. Potential foster families must be caring, patient, flexible and able to provide a consistent, predictable and nurturing home environment for foster children. The seminar will be held on October 11 at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public. CRFCU has over $30 million in assets and serves 4,100 members. For more information call CRFCU at (518) 783-2211.
