MADISON, Wis. – People are definitely interested in viewing their retirement accounts online if CUNA Mutual’s Pensions Online product is any indication. Pensions Online is a Web page that allows the 60,000 or so CU employees with a CUNA Mutual retirement plan to review their portfolios. In less than two months since its launch, 4,000 hits have been recorded. And there’s a new enhancement called Personal Account Performance. It allows individuals to see the daily unit valuation of the sub-accounts they are invested in, and a monthly overview of their total portfolio’s performance. “This was such a big demand from our customers,” said Gary Peterson, CUNA Mutual Internet pension manager. “We’re providing a function that really allows someone to analyze their portfolio and see how their accounts are doing.” Coming soon will be hard-copy quarterly account summary statements, expected to be made available online by the end of this month. This will provide participants with a complete picture of how their investments are doing and what has transpired in their account within the last quarter.
