PLANO, Texas – Not only did EDS contribute $1 million to The September 11th Fund of the United Way of America, it is also matching dollar-for-dollar up to $1 million of its employees' contributions. EDS is also sponsoring local United Way campaigns to raise additional money. The company said it chose The September 11th Fund because 100% of donations go directly to relief efforts; the fund accepts international donations; it is an umbrella fund covering many needs related to the disaster; and company matches can be tracked. Also, the RBC family of companies, Alamo, Calif., the parent company of CUSO Mortgage, is donating $1 million for relief efforts. In addition, it's donating a portion of proceeds from each closed loan through the end of year.
