State Employees Credit Union of Maryland, Linthicum, has held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its Glen Brunie branch. This branch has been built within five miles of 8,500 member households. AECU Chairman Gayle M. Seward served as the master of the ribbon cutting ceremonies and guests included State Senator Philip C. Jimeno, State Delegates John R. Leopold, Mary M. Russo, Theodore Sophocleus, and Anne Arundel County Council Member Pam Beidle. SECU has $1 million in assets and serves over 21,000 members. Central Florida Educators Federal Credit Union, Orlando, has opened its new St. Cloud branch. The new location adds a four-lane drive-thru, two ATMs and a spacious lobby area. CFEFCU has $495 million in assets and serves 108,955 members. Potlatch Federal Credit Union, Warren, Ark., has broken ground for a full service branch in Monticello. The 3,045 square-foot branch will have two drive-thru lanes and an ATM machine. The branch is scheduled to open in early 2002. PFCU has $25 million in assets and serves 5,370 members. Service Centers Corporation, Southfield, Mich., has held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its Credit Union Family Service Center. To celebrate SCC hosted an open house attended by such special guests as founding SCC director/retired Dearborn FCU CEO Don McKinnon and Southfield City Administrator Donald Gross. The Southfield Credit Union Family Service Center marks the 21st in Michigan and features 10 teller windows and two 24-hour ATMs including a postage stamp dispenser. People's Credit Union, Middletown, R.I., has opened a full-service branch office in Portsmouth and has celebrated with grand opening festivities. The Cape-style 3,500 square-foot building designed by Weymouth, Massachusetts-based DRL Associates Inc. includes three drive-thru lanes, a drive-up ATM, a spacious lobby and ample member parking. Special grand opening activities include a visit from the Newport Gulls baseball team and mascot and one lucky member's chance to win a three-minute shopping spree at the neighboring Clements' Market. In addition, the Portsmouth Police and Fire Departments provided car seat checks while the Visiting Nurses provided free blood pressure screenings. People's CU has $248 million in assets and serves 31,561 members.
