At press time, a number of scheduled credit union events were being cancelled due to the terrorist attacks. This list is by no means complete as information was coming in sporadically at press time. * SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The annual meeting of the Combined Council of Automotive Credit Unions, scheduled for Sept. 13-15 at the Doubletree Paradise Valley Resort, was cancelled. No further word on a new date for the conference was announced. * MOUNDS VIEW, Minn. -Liberty Database Marketing Services canceled its annual conference, scheduled for Sept. 12-15 in Minneapolis. "While all of us are very disappointed we had to cancel the conference, I think all of our attention is far more urgently directed to the tragedies that occurred today in New York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania," said Jeff Ericson, president, Liberty Database Marketing Services. "It seems very appropriate to cancel the event and focus on all of the bigger issues that are around us." No plans for rescheduling had been made at press time. * WASHINGTON – CUNA "Hike the Hills" set for Sept. 11, 12, and 13 were cancelled.
