Southwest Business Corporation, an insurance, investment and mortgage loan service provider, has named Gary Linder vice president of the employee benefits division. Marketing Partners, a marketing agency, has named Heather Sylak marketing consultant. Assurant Group, an affinity marketer of specialty insurance, extended service contracts and membership programs, has promoted the following employees: Jerome Atkinson, executive vice president, general counsel/chief compliance officer; Craig Lemasters, executive vice president/chief marketing officer; Kathryn Stoddard, executive vice president of human resources, development and corporate services; Edwin L. Harper, senior vice president of public affairs/government relations for parent company Fortis, Inc; Kevin Klotz, executive vice president/chief financial officer/chief operating officer; and John B. Owen, executive vice president/chief information officer of consumer marketing services.
