Robins Federal Credit Union, Warner Robins, Ga., has awarded scholarships totaling $20,000 to five graduating high school seniors. Each year RFCU selects the Most Excellent Senior Team which consists of the five best students based on academic performance, community involvement and extracurricular activities. Team members are each awarded a four-year, $4,000 scholarship to help further their education. This year’s Most Excellent Senior Team consists of Carmen Fells, Perry High School; Chris Warren, Northside High School; Ellen Okie, Northside H.S.; and Sean Caulfield, Mount de Sales Academy. RFCU has $502 million in assets and serves 128,811 members. First Teachers Federal Credit Union, Schenectady, N.Y., has awarded $750 scholarships to Danielle Leder and Sarah Misenhimer. In addition to being involved with the community, students must be members in good standing, and entering the field of education. First Teachers FCU has over $110 million in assets and serves over 21,000 members. Dearborn Federal Credit Union, Mich., has awarded scholarships to three high school seniors. Recipients are selected based on academic achievement and community involvement. Anna Sidor and Meredith Danowski were both awarded $1,500 scholarships, renewable up to four years based on continued academic success. Daniel Carroll was selected at random from the remaining applicants to receive a one-time $500 scholarship. DFCU has assets exceeding $1 billion and serves over 165,000 members.
