BEAVERTON, Ore. – Credit unions in Oregon always designate July as "CULAC Month" and use the event to focus on raising money to benefit the federal political action committee. This past July, CUs in the state surpassed their own expectations. Donations to CULAC topped $15,000 in July. Total donations were $15,664, up from $11,807 in 2000. This year, 1,083 participants contributed to CULAC, compared to 558 in 2000.
