Once again Mike Welch has exceeded my expectations! In his recent publisher's column regarding conferences and the avoidance of dealing with controversial issues, he described a feeling that I have had for years. The failure to address controversy doesn't simply stop at national meetings however. Our own state meetings have a "Good O'Boy" format also. To bring up any issue of a controversial nature gives the issuer a reputation of "Maverick". Those who know me know I have never been able to be politically savvy and not speak my mind. I therefore have discontinued attending any conferences and rely heavily on Credit Union Times for an unbiased point of view. Thanks for the continuation of the well conceived and advanced thinking I find in each issue of Credit Union Times. Al Kunze President/CEO Electrical Federal CU Arvada, Colo.
