I enjoyed and appreciated reading Mike Welch's comments about the new Credit Union Association of the West (CUAW) in his recent publisher's column. This development was not a surprise to some of us in California. We could see it coming for a long time, and that is just another reason why we are no longer a member of the California CU League. When we were a league member we decided we were not interested in supporting leagues in Hawaii, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington, with our dues money. So we dropped out. We seem to be getting along just fine without them. Tim McCartney President/CEO Mid-Cities Schools CU Compton, CA
