Patelco Credit Union partners with Esurance

SAN FRANCISCO – Imagine giving your members instant online approval for an auto loan and auto insurance all in one shot – that functionality is being added to Patelco CU’s online arsenal. The $2.2 billion CU has partnered with Esurance Inc., an auto insurance provider, to launch an integrated online auto loan and auto insurance application platform. Now when Patelco’s members apply for a loan they can also apply for insurance coverage, which is critical for the CU given that it won’t close a member’s auto loan without proof of insurance. Any insurance-related questions will be fielded by Esurance’s call center, operated 24-hours a day, seven days a week. This is the second credit union partnership for Esurance. Earlier this year, California Coast CU added an Esurance link to its Web site. The Patelco deal is more tightly integrated into the CU’s site, said Esurance.
