Kitsap Community Federal Credit Union, Bremerton, Wash., has named Marketing Specialist Cathy Brorson Employee of the Quarter. Brorson was singled out for her exceptional commitment to the credit union's vision, mission and values. In addition to coordinating KCFCU's youth programs, Brorson participates in several community partnerships including Safety Saturday, Kitsap SAFE KIDS and the Credit Union Youth Development Council of Washington. KCFCU serves nearly 64,000 members. Langley Federal Credit Union, Hampton, Va., President/CEO Jean Yokum has been named Outstanding Woman of the Year. Yokum was one of 10 women honored at the 20th Annual Hampton Roads Outstanding Professional Women Awards celebration. Yokum was recognized for her strong leadership skills and unrivaled dedication to the community. LFCU has over $724 million in assets and serves 135,000 members. Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union, Daleville, Ala., has honored a few employees for their fundraising skills. Ozark North Teller DeLana Woodard, Loan/Records Clerk Courtney Price, and Dothan West Loan Processor Charlotte Ward were named top fundraisers for their efforts in the recent Relay for Life. The credit union raised over $9,000 for the anti-cancer campaigns. In addition, AACFCU has recognized the following staff members as "Top Employees" of the quarter: Petra Owens; Lisa Bryant; Sylvia Barnes; and Amanda Rogers. AACFCU has $363 million in assets and serves 78,256 members. Berrien Teachers Credit Union, St. Joseph, Mich., has saluted five long-term employees whose combined years of service total 115. Char Cundiff, 20 years; Donna Lippert, 25 years; Connie Shindeldecker, 25 years; Lynn Warner, 20 years; and Mary Unruh, 25 years have each played key roles in the growth of BTCU. The employees were honored during this year's President's Dinner. Royal Credit Union, Eau Claire, Wis., has received a Continuing Education Award from the Wisconsin Credit Union League. Award requirements included active participation in the League's conferences, seminars and correspondence programs. RCU had 35 participants in various conferences and seminars but it was most actively involved in the correspondence programs with more than 400 modules completed by the staff and volunteers. RCU has $532 million in assets and serves 93,757 members.
