PARIS – The "City of Lights" is host to this year's World Council of Credit Union's fifth International Credit Union Leadership Institute. General and educational sessions during the four-day conference, Aug. 19-22 at the Hotel "Le Meridien Montparnasse" will focus on strategies to help cooperative financial institutions meet the global challenges of the 21st century. For the first time, WOCCU has invited cooperative banking leaders from Credit Mutuel to participate in the leadership institute. The Credit Mutuel group includes 18 regional federations that make up the National Confederation of Credit Mutuel, a central institution that represents member cooperative banks. Credit Union Times' Overseas Correspondent Donna-Lane Nelson will be covering the conference on-site.
