DES MOINES, Iowa and MELROSE, Minn. – The Principal Employees' Credit Union will change its name to Premier Credit Union effective September 1, 2001. According to PCU President/CEO Jim Niederhauser the new name will better reflect the credit union's diverse membership. The credit union's Web address will also change. There will be a transition period when users going to the old address will be automatically re-directed to the new address, www.premiercu.org. The $45 million credit union has 12,000 members. To reflect its conversion to a federal charter, Melrose Credit Union has changed its name to Central Minnesota Federal Credit Union. CMFCU has $206 million in assets and serves 23,000 members.
