CUNA Network Services offering security products

MADISON, Wis. – The newly-formed CUNA Network Services has formed a deal to offer credit unions a suite of security solutions. CNS partnered with Internet Security Systems and Concentric Security to offer the suite, which will include assessment, identification, remediation, maintenance, monitoring and support of CUs’ electronic security systems. Security has become a growing concern for CUs given that NCUA now looks at CUs’ e-com operations during the annual exam, and because CUs have a growing number of online solutions that present members’ financial data over the Web. Helping CUs write security policies, as well as conducting intrusion testing, two popular IT services will be offered under the deal. CUNA owns a 40% stake in CNS. Sunstar IP Communications, which changed its name to CNS, is the majority owner.
