MIAMI, Fla. – Miramar, Florida-based Eastern Financial Federal Credit Union did it, and now, in what is becoming a growing trend, yet another credit union has added "financial" to its new name. With the shift from a federal to state charter complete, Tropical Federal Credit Union has repositioned itself with a new logo and name-Tropical Financial CU. According to TFCU Senior Vice President of Marketing Bob Silverstein, the new name lets business owners and consumers know that TFCU's primary business is financial services while existing members still feel connected since the acronym remains the same. TFCU has $476 million in assets and serves 68,334 members.
