SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Clarke American Checks was the sole recipient of the 2001 Texas Award for Performance Excellence from the Quality Texas Foundation at the Texas Quest for Excellence Conference in Richardson, Texas on June 20. Based on the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award criteria and process, the Texas Award for Performance Excellence annually recognizes Texas-based organizations that excel in the application of quality management principles, and best practices and values. Quality Texas Foundation examiners visited Clarke American's San Antonio, Houston and Dallas facilities and based their decision on the company's approach to knowledge sharing, innovation and technology, process management, stakeholder satisfaction and performance excellence.
