ARVADA, Colo. – The Colorado Financial Services Board will hold a public hearing on July 13 to consider the application from Colorado Central Credit Union, Arvada, to expand its field-of-membership to include a geographic community. Colorado Central, the 17th largest state-chartered CU in the state, has almost 20,000 members. It currently has a community charter and serves part of Arvada and the area surrounding the city. It also includes about 480 select employee groups in its FOM, as well as employees of the Colorado Credit Union League and its affiliates in the state. The $63 million credit union has applied for permission to expand its FOM to include persons who reside within the City of Arvada. According to the credit union's application, the estimated population of the proposed community is 102,153.
